Dr Attard Trevisan is the co-founder and CEO of Umana. Prior to Umana he founded and acted as Chief Scientific Officer of Neurotech International, a public company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), on which he still serves as a Non Executive Director. He holds a Doctorate in the field of Human Physiology and Neurophysiology and is a Research Fellow at the Bedfordshire Centre for Mental Health Research in Association with the University of Cambridge. Adrian has worked on numerous international research projects in the fields of physiology and biomedical sciences and has served as a board member of the Malta Group of Professional Engineering Institutions. He was awarded an innovation prize by the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Krystle is a Co-Founder of Umana, focused on Operations, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. She has years of experience in Quality Assurance through the creation from scratch of Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485) and submission of Technical Files to the appropriate notified body. She has obtained and maintained CE Certification for Class IIa medical devices and has experience communicating with and writing applications for FDA. She has trained employees to maintain a high level of quality control in development and manufacturing. Furthermore, Krystle has two Masters Degrees in the Humanities.
Noel joined Umana Medical as Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager. He brings with him over 23 years of work experience in Quality Management Systems which was achieved during his employment with several renowned organizations within the medical devices manufacturing sector globally. [Baxter Healthcare & Ecolab] He has worked in a variety of activities and roles, such as development and implementation of local & regional quality procedures, lead quality auditor, quality deployment training, drive standardization of processes for simplification, drive technical teams and product action teams on market quality issues, process and product validations, risk management, product registration on the markets, product dossiers etc.
Before joining Umana Medical as a Technical Manager, Antoine served as a General manager and then as a Technical Director of a successful outsourcing manufacturer whose clients included Playmobil, Toly Products, Methode Electronics and also developed its own innovative electronic commercial products. Antoine started his career specializing in Plastics, then through his career, has always managed technical operations. Antoine has applied his technical expertise extensively to project management for both the manufacturing and the development of products from plastics molding to electronics and software development.
Bassam Slim, Sales Director at Umana Medical, with over 15 years of experience managing distributors across multiple locations. He started his experience with Boston Scientific as a Team Leader with the operations department handling the Middle East and Africa region. He later moved into the distributor sales management with Boston Scientific covering the Urology, Gastroenterology and Interventional Cardiology products across the MENA, Iran and Pakistan region. With the move to Medtronic he was responsible to support the integration of the newly acquired Invatec organization within the MEA region; at a later stage launched the first Renal Denervation program in Middle East North Africa, Pakistan and Iran following the acquisition of ARDIAN. The most recent experience was in the Medtronic Diabetes Division where he covered the complex region of Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan, Iran, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
Glanville joined Umana as financial controller and is a qualified certified chartered accountant with eight years’ experience in the field. Having started his career with a mid-tier audit firm, he gained experience in financial services and client assistance coming from several different sectors. Glanville is detail oriented and specializes both in assisting finance functions which are already in place and implementing new accounting systems, related processes and control systems. He believes that timely provision of monthly and statutory reporting and adherence to budgets on an ongoing basis is an effective tool for healthy management.

He advises industry at all stages in the lifecycle of innovative products that can help improve the life-expectancy and quality of life of people with heart failure.

Trained in Paediatric Cardiology at the Children‘s Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania and completed a Senior Fellowship in Heart Failure and Transplantation at Children’s Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School. Participant in national and international groups dedicated to mobile health research.

Practising cardiologist with interests in percutaneous coronary intervention, heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. Associate Editor of the American Journal of Physiology (Heart & Circulation) and the European Heart Journal.

Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and The American College of Cardiology / Senior consultant cardiologist at Barnet and The Royal Free Hospitals. Cardiology advisor to The London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, and was President of The Section of Cardiology of The Royal Society of Medicine.
Dr Greco is an Assistant Professor at the Graz University of Technology with the Institute of Solid State Physics. His experience and expertise, help found the foundations of the materials process which makes Umana’s products so seamless, functional and comfortable.
Dr Greco is one of the pioneers and leaders within the research of tattoo biosensor technology through award-winning and ground-breaking publications such as “Ultra-thin conductive free-standing PEDOT/PSS nanofilms” and “Tattoo Conductive Polymer Nanosheets for Skin‐Contact Applications”. In fact, his main research interests are in the field of polymer and nanocomposite functional and stimuli-responsive materials and interfaces with applications in micro-biorobotics and biomedicine.
Francesco Greco is the author of 31 peer-reviewed full papers (22 ISI papers), 3 book chapters, 5 applications of national and international patents and of several communications to international conferences. He serves as reviewer for several international journals in the fields of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology, Microrobotics.
Ing. Ferrari is a PhD fellow at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Italian Insitute of Technology) working with the smart materials team to develop comfortable electrodes and electronics in the field of printed electronics. She is an Industrial Engineering Graduate from the University of Pisa and followed Post-Graduate Studies on BioMedical Engineering at the same University with the focus of her work being on the “Design, realization and characterization of an open-source inkjet printhead for the biofabricaton area”.
Ing. Ferrari is working tirelessly with the Umana Management Team to develop the high-quality and precise process workflow for the development of the Umana T1 Sensors.
